By Lori Drzewiecki: The Method to My Madness

Thank you for coming back. My first blog was my introduction. If you missed it, be sure to check it out.
On to Content.
The questions become do I even have enough content to have a website or even a blog? I have all these ideas swimming in my head. Will anyone care? There is so much out there already who cares what I have to say? I don’t even know how to blog. How often should I blog? How long should my blogs be? Why do I need to blog anyway? Why should I express my content in this format?
The answers are; Yes, I have content. Content is throughout my site and just bursting out of my head. The best time for me to come up with ideas is when I am trying to go to sleep. I am sure everyone can relate to that. My brain has its own brain storming sessions; I’ve learned to go with it.
The only one way to find out if anyone cares, is to blog and create the website. No one will know what is inside you if you don’t express it. Right? So here I am trying to get the thoughts out of my head and into a blog. You may not care about 90% of them, but if I can connect with you on one, then maybe I’m doing okay. The same is true for you. Step out of your comfort zone and do it.
I’ll be 100% honest here, at the risk of failure from the get go, I absolutely hate blogs. Yep I said it, I hate them. Why? If I want to read what you have to say, I JUST want to read what you have to say. I don’t want to have to click 10 times to get to the blog. I don’t want commercials blaring in the back ground. I have no patience for pages to load all the advertising (affiliates), most of which is for shock value. So this is what will set me apart from the rest, even if you don’t like what I have to say, you will at least be able to read it. I may say the same thing as 100 other people but you will be able to read it. So set yourself apart from the rest. Find your niche and run with it. It may take a while, but if you look at what is already out there, it is amazing to see what is actually successful. If you are a serious business person or just a serious blogger with content someone will follow you.
To answer the issues of I don’t know how to blog and how long should my blogs be I searched for tips on blogging. There were a number of lists of tips. I saved them in my favorites and refer to the often. I strongly suggest if you want to blog to search them out. I’m not going to get into them at this point, as I am sure you can google them on your own. I may not be great at this blogging thing but I feel much better about giving it a try.
Finally, why do I need to blog anyway? Why should I express my content in this format? This was a big one for me. My confidence was not high, I didn’t have a clear path to my goal and quite frankly I missed the point altogether at the beginning. Remember I said I hate blogs. Yep I let my personal feelings about something get in the way of my possible success. I was actually so overwhelmed with what I wanted in the website (my content) I literally couldn’t focus on it. I focused on the task of creating my website, I jumped with both feet, I didn’t take the time to optimize my future success. Will I be able to overcome the huge failure? Only time will tell.
So if you are considering a business where you want people to hear your ideas and you want those ideas to be part of a website. Blog about them first. Your website can be just your blog page or pages at first. They don’t all have to be up and running. Blogging is the best way to premarket your website. I’ll get more into that in the next couple of blogs. For now, start writing! Get tips! Put your ideas and thoughts on paper! Create a list of them to expand upon later. The key is to start writing if you want to optimize your success for the future.
Thanks for reading, Next one will be – Time for yourself
